Cindy Lou Petty (Kennan), passed away on May 7, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born in Rogers, Arkansas, on November 29, 1948, to Mrs. Evelyn Kennan and W.B. Kennan Jr. of Rogers, Arkansas.
Cindy graduated from Rogers High School in 1966 and began her career as a key operator, secretary, and working at Daisy Gun Manufacturing in Rogers. Her busy and fruitful life took her to many places, and she developed a passion for real estate. She was a very successful, well-known, and loved throughout the community. She received many sales awards over her 40 years of real estate.
She is survived by her two children, Robert Todd Petty and his wife Shannon Petty of Broken Arrow, and Kimberly Broyles of Claremore. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Payton Sutton of Broken Arrow, Preston Petty of Broken Arrow, Shelby Broyles of Tulsa, Brandon Broyles of Prescott, Arizona, and River Whittaker of Claremore. Cindy was blessed with two great-grandchildren: Callie Lane Sutton and Maddie Broyles.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, W.B. Kennan and Evelyn Kennan, and her siblings, David Kennan of Rogers, Arkansas, Barbara Horton of Conway, Arkansas, and Shirley Smith of Rogers, Arkansas.
Cindy was a strong and independent woman; she was compassionate about her family and took great care of the details in life. She loved the Lord and made sure to keep faith at the center of her family. She always took the time to love the little things that were important to her, taking care of her home and nature's animals, including her abundant love for her dog, Stella. She was selfless, always sacrificing for others.
Cindy was last married to the love of her life, Michael T. Ryan of Jenks, "Papa Mike," continued to love Cindy and provided unwavering emotional and physical support throughout her life, which meant the world to her family.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16 at 2 p.m. at MMS - Payne Funeral Home. A graveside service for families will take place at Benton County Memorial Gardens in Rogers, Arkansas.
