Danny Ray Roberts

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Danny Ray Roberts will be held 10:00 a.m. on August 25, 2023. The service will take place at MMS-Payne Funeral Home and Cremation Services-Claremore located at 102 W 5th St in Claremore, Oklahoma.  
Danny Ray Roberts, passed away peacefully at his home in Claremore on August 17, 2023, at the age of 62. 
He was born on July 2, 1961, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.   After completing his education at schools including Sallisaw, Checotah, and Owasso, he embarked on a career in the heat and air industry. Danny also found success as a talented tile installer. Inspired by his skills and driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, he eventually established his own handyman service which he operated for many years. Despite dedicating himself to these ventures, Danny always found time to take on additional jobs.  One notable job that Danny held was working at a local dry cleaners. It was at this establishment that he met Terri Shriver, who would become his wife on December 1, 2004.

In addition to his various professional pursuits, Danny also worked as a custodian and maintenance man for schools in the area.  He was referred to by the students as Mr. Dan.  He also worked for the local VFW as well.

Danny had many hobbies that brought him immense happiness. He loved playing golf and spending time near the quiet serenity of fishing spots. Being an avid fan of Oklahoma football brought him great excitement during game days. Additionally, country dancing allowed him to let loose, and show why he was one of the best dancers around. However, Danny's true passion was spending time with his beloved grandkids, as they brought him immeasurable joy and filled his heart with love.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, Glynn Roberts.
He is survived by his loving mother, Rosalee Roberts;  his devoted wife , Terri Roberts; his children, Yancy Roberts and wife Amanda, Tyler Shriver and wife Aly, and Tanner Shriver and wife Emmalee.  Sister Kathy Washburn and husband Royal,  sister Lisa West and husband Jimmy, brother Stan Roberts and wife Rachelle, sister Dara Horry and husband Bryan, and brother Andy Bailey.  Grandkids; Korben, Cannon, Maddox, Jacoby, Ryder, Avery, and Elydia.  Also survived by mother-in-law Shirley Wilson.
