David Glenn Rice

Memorial services for David Rice will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 10:00am at Harbor Church in Oologah OK.

David Glenn Rice passed away on August 27, 2025, at the age of 67. He was born on December 29, 1957, in Lufkin, Texas, to George and Woodielene (Tinkle) Rice. David grew up in Pollok and graduated with the Class of 1975. He attended Angelina College and later earned his B.S. in computer technology from the University of Houston in 1980.

David began his career with ARCO Pipeline in Seminole, Texas. In time, he met the love of his life, Vickey Rice, at church, and they were married on September 4, 1987. Their early years together took them to Independence, Kansas (1989–1992), a brief stay in Houston, and then to Inola, Oklahoma, in 1994. They eventually made their home in Claremore.

A true outdoorsman, David enjoyed hunting and fishing, making arrows, and reloading. He loved time in nature, gardening, and camping and he also enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. He was handy and always willing to lend a hand when something needed to be fixed. David and Vickey were members of Harbor Church.

David was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Richard Rice.

He is survived by his wife, Vickey; Father, George Gilbert Rice; children, Melissa Lynn Baker, Tye Baker and wife Ashlie, David Rice, Jr. and wife Katya, Scottie Elizabeth Rice, and Gabriella Elizabeth Rice and Landon Frailey; grandchildren, Kayden and Keylee Baker, and Joeline and Rosie Rice; brothers, Steve Rice and wife Donna, and Randy Rice and wife Veronica; sister, Paula Curry and husband John; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
