A reception will be held in her honor on Sunday, October 18th, her 71st birthday at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Claremore at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers Debi has requested donations to be made in her honor to FUMC Missions, 1615 N HWY 88, Claremore, OK. 74017.

Debra Irene Sprow Raper Reynolds went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 10, 2020. She passed in her home due to complications related to her diagnosis of CIDF with her sister Carma Davis and special friend, George Raper, by her side.

Debi was born on October 18, 1949, to Gene and Alma Sprow in Ponca City, OK. She attended First Lutheran School K-6 which was the foundation for her love of Jesus Christ. The family moved to Claremore, OK, the summer of 1963, where she finished her education and graduated from Claremore High School, Class of 1967.

She married George M. Raper and had one son, Brandon Martin Raper of MT. She was married to high school classmate Tim Reynolds for 17 years.

Although trained in cosmetology, Debi pursued a career in banking. She was VP/Dir of Marketing United Bank, Del City, OK, where she was awarded Newsmaker of the 90’s.

She returned to Claremore and became actively involved in the community. Among her numerous volunteer efforts, she served on the Claremore City Council, Planning Commission, Rotary Club, attended Leadership of Oklahoma XV, and chair for the Blue Grass and Chili Festival.

She loved her church, First United Methodist, Claremore. She volunteered and participated in many of their activities.

Debi is preceded in death by her parents Gene and Alma Sprow, sister Lugene Easterling, brother-in-law Robert Davis, and grandson Ethan Blue Thomas Raper.

She is survived by her son Brandon Raper of MT, her sister Carma Davis of Fulshear, TX, her nephew Matthew Murphy, his wife Dana and three nieces, Breanna, Savannah and Everleigh of Katy, TX, and niece Mandi Easterling Cox and her children, Madison and Devon plus numerous cousins in NE and her long time friend and caretaker, George M. Raper.
