Dennis passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the age of 78.
Born on April 21, 1948, in Seagraves, Texas, Dennis was the son of Ray and June (Lowe) Farrell. He was raised in Enid, Oklahoma, graduated with the Class of 1965, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Theology from Oklahoma Baptist University.
Dennis enjoyed successful careers with Treadco, BFGoodrich, and later Country Financial, where he became known for his integrity, strong work ethic, and genuine care for the people he served.
He loved traveling the country with his wife, Sharon, especially to the Redwood Forest and Yellowstone National Park. Dennis also helped establish the Claremore Soccer Club, serving as its president, coach, and referee while sharing his love of the game with generations of young players, including his sons. He enjoyed woodworking, caring for his yard, and creating treasured rocking horses for his grandchildren. Above all, Dennis was a man of deep faith who faithfully served Memorial Heights Baptist Church as a Sunday School teacher and usher.
Dennis will be remembered for his quiet kindness, servant’s heart, unwavering faith, and the love he had for his family. His steady presence, gentle spirit, and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Farrell; his sons, David Farrell and wife Leslie of San Francisco, California, and Andy Farrell and wife Mary Outwater of Reston, Virginia; his stepdaughter, Debbie Thompson and husband Eric of Yorktown, Virginia; his stepson, Greg Giesecke and wife Lindsey of Littleton, Colorado; his grandchildren, Tobin, Ethan, Isaac, Alexandra, Eliot, Gabriella, Rocket, Julia, and Grant; his brother, Courtney Farrell and wife Mary; his brother-in-law, Robert Jones; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and June Farrell, and his sister, Judi Jones.
In honor of Dennis, donations may be made to the senior ministry of Memorial Heights Baptist Church at 1500 West Will Rogers Blvd., Claremore, OK 74017.
