Born on April 21, 1948, in Seagrave, Texas, Dennis was the beloved son of Ray and June (Lowe) Farrell. Raised in Enid, he graduated with the Class of 1965. He pursued higher education at Oklahoma Baptist University, earning a bachelor's degree in Theology. Dennis built a successful career as a tire salesman with Treadco and BF Goodwrench, where he was known for his exceptional customer service. His dedication was recognized with an all-expenses-paid trip to Hawaii for his family. Later, he turned to a career with Country Financial, assisting many as they navigated their insurance needs with genuine care and understanding.
Dennis had a passion for travel, exploring the United States with his wife Sharon in their travel trailer, visiting favorite destinations like the Redwood Forest and Yellowstone. A founding figure in Claremore's soccer community, Dennis served as president of the Claremore Soccer Club, officiated games, and coached, sharing his love for the sport with his sons. His hands-on approach extended to woodworking, crafting rocking horses for his grandchildren, and maintaining a beautiful yard. A man of faith, Dennis was active at Memorial Heights Baptist Church, leading a Sunday School class and serving as an usher.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Farrell, his sons, David Farrell and wife Leslie of San Francisco, CA, Andy Farrell and wife Mary Outwater of Reston, VA, stepdaughter Debbie Thompson and husband Eric of Yorktown, VA, and stepson Greg Giesecke and wife Lindsey of Littleton, CO. His grandchildren, Tobin, Alexandra, Rocket, Ethan, Isaac, Eliot, Gabriella, Julia, and Grant, as well as his brother-in-law Robert Jones and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members, cherish his memory. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judy Farrell.
