Donald Ray Elliott

December 10, 1956 — June 1, 2026

Inola,Ok

Donald Ray Elliott, age 69, passed away peacefully at home on June 1, 2026. Don was born on December 10, 1956, in Council Grove, Kansas, to Thomas "Tom" and Bina Mae Elliott.

In 1963, the Elliott family moved to Catoosa, Oklahoma, where they lived on the Skelly Ranch until 1989. Don graduated from Catoosa High School and later attended Rogers State College in Claremore.

As a young man, Don worked on the family ranch, helping with cattle and cutting firewood. He later built a career with Spirit AeroSystems/Boeing, where he worked for 17 years.

Don eventually settled in the Inola area, where he enjoyed having the space to pursue one of his greatest passions—working on cars. He had a remarkable talent for taking vehicles apart and putting them back together in his own time, always managing to get them running again.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Bina Elliott; his brother, Tommy Elliott; and his nephew, Tommy Elliott.

He is survived by his sisters, Susan Elliott of Inola and Barbara Elliott-Clark of Owasso; his niece, Marcie Kelley and husband Dustin of Owasso; his nephew, Michael Wilson of Marquette, Wisconsin and his neice Trisha Elliott in Dallas.

Don was a quiet and private person who never sought attention for himself. However, his family has learned just how many lives he touched through the friendships he formed over the years, especially during his time at Boeing. The many kind words, memories, and stories shared by his friends have been a comfort and a reminder of the loyal, dependable, and caring man they knew. Though he preferred a simple life, Don leaves behind numerous friends and family members who will miss him dearly.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has shared their condolences, memories, and support.

They ask that Don be remembered for the person he was—a hardworking, humble, and genuine man whose presence meant more to others than he may have ever realized.
