Donis Arlene (Ford) Stout passed away on August 3, 2026, at the age of 94.

Donis was born in Newkirk, Oklahoma, to Fred and Marie (Shipton) Ford. She later attended Pryor Public Schools, where she spent her school years. Donis married the love of her life, Gene Stout, and together they built a life centered on family and hard work.

A devoted homemaker, Donis had a servant's heart and found great joy in caring for others. She was an accomplished seamstress who loved sewing, embroidery, and baking for her family and friends. Her faith led her to be an active member of Eden Mennonite Church, where she faithfully helped in the church kitchen, volunteered during Vacation Bible School, and served others whenever there was a need. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels, always looking for ways to bless those around her.

Donis loved to travel and especially enjoyed taking bus trips across the United States with her sisters, creating treasured memories along the way. More than any hobby or pastime, however, she cherished gathering with her family on the ranch. Whether sharing a meal, celebrating holidays, or simply enjoying time together, those moments brought her the greatest happiness.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene Stout; her parents, Fred and Marie Ford; her daughter, Cynthia Whitecotton, and husband Terry Whitecotton; her daughter-in-law, Mary Stout; as well as four brothers and five sisters.

Donis is survived by her son, Duane Stout; her daughter, Sherrie Troyer and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Greg Stout and wife Evelyn, Stephanie Hass and husband Jake, Clark Stout, Travis Troyer and wife Amber, Kyle Troyer and wife Ashley, Savannah Kennedy and husband Matt, and Logan Whitecotton and wife Tiffany; 17 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Donis will be remembered for her faith, generous spirit, gentle heart, and the love she poured into her family. Her legacy of kindness, service, and devotion to God will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
