Graveside service for Doris Mae Crumpton will be 3 p.m., Tues., July 29, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Claremore, with Pastor Mike Clark officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of MMS-Payne Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Doris passed away Sun., July 27, 2014, at St. John Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 88.

The daughter of Simpson Alexander and Rommie Jessie Ballard was born May 17, 1926 in Athens, Texas. On December 27, 1941, she married Clinton Hanna. They had one daughter, Sandra. She later moved to Whitney, Texas where she met and married James Crumpton in 1990.

She had numerous step children and grandchildren, and she was a member of the Ft. Graham Baptist Church in Whitney.

Doris loved animals , especially her cat, Baby, fishing, rock collecting, making jewelry and listening to gospel music.

Doris is preceded in death by her husbands, Clinton Hanna and James Crumpton, brothers, Sidney Paul Ballard, Simpson Alexander Ballard Jr., and step-daughter, Joy Crumpton.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Moates and her husband, Charles; grandson, Bryan Moates; granddaughter, Janet Danley and her husband Randy; and grandson, Matthew Danley.

She is also survived by step-children: Sheridan Williams, Freida Walker and J.C. Crumpton, step-grandchildren: Jr. Crumpton, Jessie Crumpton and numerous others.
