Earl Dean Arthur Sr. was born December 11, 1950 to Harold Udell Arthur and Rosa Belle Lewis-Arthur in Claremore, Oklahoma. A strong man with even stronger determination. Earl was a loving, caring, focused, and a strong believer of Jesus Christ. While serving his country honorably he spent a year and a half in Germany during the Vietnam war era. After he completed his military duty, he returned to Claremore and went back to work at Lee C. Moore Steele Corporation in Tulsa manufacturing oil rigs where he was known and admired for his work ethics. Earl married Bonnie Parham on June 21, 1974 and were blessed with two sons; Earl Dean Arthur, Jr. and Neil Scott Arthur. But God wasn’t through yet. He later blessed them with a daughter, Patricia Joy Arthur-Hindenburg.

Earl had a great passion for trees and woodworking. He used this passion to overcome pain and inconveniences. He was a man of his word always showing honor and dependability. If Earl encountered someone who had fallen on hard times, he would generously supply those in need with a rick of wood rather than to have a widow/widower/patron go without heat in the winter. Other times he might donate one of his handmade birdhouses to help out with a school fundraiser.

Rigorous war activities took its toll on Earl’s stature but his desire to be the best at whatever challenges laid ahead, kept him driven and focused to accomplish any task.

In his youth, Earl attended Sequoyah Public Schools in Claremore. He loved riding horses and entertaining friends. His drive to always be the best at whatever challenges laid ahead made life even more interesting. Everyone that met Earl loved him for his gentle, caring, spirit. If anyone needed anything, he would gladly give or share. Friends who knew Earl, admired him for his work ethics. His ability and determination to push through the pain of battling war maneuvers was amazing. He would never complain.

Earl was extremely proud of his three grandchildren; Lacey Marie Arthur, Oakley Gene Hindenburg, and Alaina Grace Hindenburg and was always excited to have them visit. He loved all of his family and constantly worked hard to support them in any way he could.

Earl could often be found in parades around the state of Oklahoma driving his antique tractors. A passion created early in life allowed him the freedom to meet people and learn more about the tractors. He also loved giving rides in his vintage horse drawn carriages during Frontier days at church. Other passions were to smoke meats, build birdhouses, refurbish antique tractors and cushman trucks. His bird houses were entered into the county fair each year, always earning a blue or red ribbon.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Chester Leon Arthur. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Bonnie Arthur, two sons: Earl Arthur, Jr., and Neil Arthur and wife Holly Arthur along with granddaughter Lacey Arthur, one daughter: Patricia Hindenburg and husband Kory Hindenburg along with grandchildren; Oakley Hindenburg and Alaina Hindenburg all from Claremore. Earl is survived by his siblings; Loyd Arthur and wife Glenda of Pryor, and a twin sister, Dr. Earlene Washburn and sister Lenda Minor and her husband Terry Minor of Aledo, Texas.
