Evelyn Mae Rawlings

Evelyn (Lewis) Rawlings , aged 59, passed away on September 6, 2026. Born on July 20, 1967, Evelyn lived a life defined by an unwavering dedication to helping others, an immense love for her family, and a deep passion for the natural world.

Evelyn spent her life in service to her community and those in need. Early in her career, she served as an EMT, providing critical, life-saving care on the front lines. She later dedicated 10 years of her life to the Red Cross, a testament to her enduring commitment to humanitarian service. Beyond her professional life, Evelyn was a natural caregiver, selflessly stepping up to support and care for her own family whenever she was needed. To know Evelyn was to know joy. She was famously bubbly and possessed a beautiful, contagious laugh that could light up any room. She found great peace and happiness outdoors, holding a profound love for nature and all its beauty. Strong-willed and fiercely independent, Evelyn lived by a philosophy of pure acceptance, welcoming everyone exactly as they were, regardless of their background. She wanted nothing more than to see the people around her happy, and she was always willing to extend a helping hand to make that a reality. Her deepest joy, however, came from her family. Evelyn loved her family profoundly, and her nephews held an exceptionally special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Teressa (Lewis) Pekrul. Evelyn's legacy of love, kindness, and strength will be carried on by her surviving family, including her mother and her two sisters, as well as the many nephews and extended family members she adored so deeply.
