Everett passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on May 16, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born January 4, 1950, in Tulsa, OK, to Ralph and Nana Jewell (Hicks) Treat. After his parents won a raffle for an undeveloped lot during the Tulsa State Fair, the family built their home and settled in Catoosa during Everett’s middle school years. Treat went on to graduate from Catoosa High School as salutatorian in 1968. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from The University of Tulsa in 1981, working during and between semesters to support his growing family and to save up money for tuition.

In 1970, he started dating his high school classmate Debbie Treat, and they married on February 5, 1971. They made their home first in Tulsa, then in Catoosa, where Everett’s career flourished. The consummate hard worker - he began working in his youth repairing small engines for M & M Equipment and worked with Parker Drilling in his late teenage years—traveling as far as the Alaskan North Slope and Aleutian Islands. He later managed oil leases with S.A.W. Oil before entering manufacturing in 1981 as a machinist at CEMCO where he eventually became Vice President. In 1990, he joined Arrow Engine Company, staying with them for over 30 years before his retirement. Over the years, Everett’s work took him around the world, including India, China, Western Europe, Mexico and South America, always returning with souvenirs for his family.

He was also proud to serve as president of Tulsa Area Manufacturers Association (TAMA) for several years, the Springdale Revitalization Commission, the North Tulsa Redevelopment Authority, and the Tulsa Tech Education Foundation. In each of these areas he volunteered countless hours of his time to improve the communities around his work and to help raise money for scholarships to allow people to gain skills that led to a rewarding career in manufacturing to be able to provide for their families.

A quiet, humble man, Everett loved fishing, hunting, and traveling with Debbie and their lifelong friends - Ralph and Blanche Holbrook. He treasured time with his boys and his grandchildren - connecting with each one of them in his own unique way.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Nana Jewell Treat; and sisters Ruby Evans and her husband Paul, Bonnie Jackson and her husband Bill, and Judy Tidwell and her husband Bill.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-four years, Debbie Treat; children Brian Treat and wife Jane, Greg Treat and wife Maressa, Steven Treat and girlfriend Christina; brother Larry Treat and wife Deborah; sister Ralphetta Dill and husband Jim; and grandchildren Emilyne, Kate, Clara, Mason, Cooper, Olivia, Lucas, and Jewell. He is also survived by Debbie’s siblings and their spouses, as well as his cousins, nephews and nieces - all of whom Everett loved.
