Garlyn Joe Cummins, born on August 21, 1943, in Inola, Oklahoma, was a cherished member of the community. He graduated from Inola High School in 1961 and married his high school sweetheart, Betty June Ward, on December 15, 1962. Together, they called Inola their lifelong home.

Garlyn was the proud owner of the Inola Farm Elevator, where he dedicated much of his career. His love for travel took him and Betty across the United States in their motorhome, a passion he shared with his grandchildren through many memorable trips. Garlyn was a skilled welder and woodworker, known for his numerous projects. An aviator, he held a pilot's license and enjoyed flying to nearby destinations like Vinita for weekend lunches.

Garlyn's family includes his son, Jeffrey Cummins, and wife Lisa of Inola; grandchildren Kaitlyn Fultz and husband Nathan of Verdigris, Hannah Osborne and husband Seth of Inola, Mollee Kimble and husband Drew of Tahlequah, and Garrett Cummins and wife Molly of Glenpool; and great-grandchildren Spencer and Tatum Fultz. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Cummins, and wife JoAnn of Inola.

He joins in rest his beloved wife, Betty, his son Larry, his parents Joe Frank and Maxine "Max" Cummins, and siblings Donald "Donnie" Cummins and Marilyn Cummins.

Garlyn's legacy as a skilled craftsman, devoted family man, and proud community member will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
