A funeral service will be held on February 21, 2024, at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Claremore, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00-11:00. The service will commence at 11:00 AM and will be a moment for family, friends, and the community to come together and honor Gene's life. Gene Ball, a beloved member of the community, passed away on February 13, 2024, at the age of 65.  Leaving behind a legacy of kindness and joy.

He was born on April 7, 1958, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  He was the son of Gail  and Bertha (Wood) Emrick.  Gene's journey in life took him to various places across the United States. After graduating from school in Arkansas in 1976, he ventured to Montana before eventually settling in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was here that he began his working career. Gene's dedication and hard work led him to employment at several reputable companies. He started at Bill Jack dog food company before transitioning to Jarbo Sales. Eventually, he concluded his working days at Duenner Supply.

Beyond the realm of work and family, Gene had numerous interests and hobbies that brought him immense fulfillment. He had a passion for the great outdoors and enjoyed motorcycling, hunting and fishing throughout his life. The thrill of exploring new places also captivated Gene's spirit. He found delight in traveling to destinations such as South Carolina, Tennessee, and Branson. Furthermore, he always remained active around the house and lent a helping hand to those in need. His eagerness to stay busy allowed him to contribute positively to both his personal life and the lives of others.

While Gene was known for his professional achievements, it was his warm-hearted nature that truly defined him. He had an innate kindness that touched the lives of those around him. Gene's patient demeanor made him a cherished individual to be around. With an easy-going personality, he brought joy into every room he entered.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gail Emrick, and brother Jerry Ball.

He is survived by his loving wife Denae, his son Sean Carpenter and wife Jenni, his mother Bertha Emrick, his sister Carol Howard and husband Danny, as well as his father-in-law Floyd Hanes.

Gene Ball will be dearly missed for his benevolent nature and his ability to bring happiness into the lives of others. As we say our final goodbyes, let us remember the joy he brought us all and hold onto the cherished memories we shared with him. In honoring Gene's memory, may we strive to live with kindness and embrace each day with the same joyful spirit that he possessed.
