He was born on March 21, 1948, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Herb and Minnie (Rader) Burns. He was raised in the Foyil area, where he would later attend school. After graduating from Foyil High School in 1966, Glen began he attending Will Rogers Junior College. In January of 1968, Glen joined the United States Army. He proudly served until his discharge in January of 1970. Upon his return home Glen began working for Danuser as a machinist. He worked there until his retirement.
In his spare time, Glen had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as hunting and fishing. He also had an appreciation and love of painting abstract art.
Glen enjoyed helping others, and was always ready to lend a hand if he could. He enjoyed the time he got to spend attending Oowala Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Laverne Desper.
Survivors include his sisters, Carrie Rizley and Alneta Mitchell, nieces Sandy Chesire and Jennifer Mitchell, nephew Curtis Rizley, and brother-in-law Rich Desper.
