Glenn Lester Casey passed away Tues., April 7, 2015, at his home at the age of 84. Private family services will be held at a later date.
The son of Walter Rire Casey and Fannie Viola (McElhaney) Casey was born Nov. 17, 1930, in Claremore, OK. He lived his early years in Claremore, and attended Justus school through the 8th grade. He then moved to Turlock, CA, where he remained for many years. On Feb. 21, 1952, Glenn entered the US Army where he served for two years, being discharged on Feb. 3, 1954. Glenn worked at Armour & Co. and Valley Fresh Processing Plant as the Traffic Manager. On June 4, 1957, Glenn married Charlotte Scott. She preceded him in death on Dec. 7, 1984. He married Bobbie Mae Driskell on Jan. 28, 1989, in Menden, NV. They remained in California until June 2009 when they returned to Glenn's hometown of Claremore.
Glenn was loved and respected by his children, wife, and step-daughters. He liked to be outdoors fishing and watching wildlife. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes and hunting. He was a member of the American Legion. He loved his family and was generous and good to everyone, especially those in need.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Bobbie of the home; children: Neal A. Casey of Longview, WA, Ruth P. Casey of Wasilla, AK, and Neacha A. Escobar of Wasilla, AK; step-daughters: Pamela Hutchings of West Planis, MO, Brenda Tripp of West Plains, MO, and Vicki Blake of Springfield, MO; brother, Neal E. Casey and wife, Marjorie of Cupertino, CA; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte; his parents; and a sister.
