A visitation to honor the life of Gregory Lee Dalrymple will be held at MMS- Payne Funeral Home at 102 W 5th Street in Claremore, Oklahoma on August 5, 2020 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm

Gregory Lee Dalrymple passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Hillcrest South in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 53.

The son of Charles Lee Dalrymple and Sherry Lenora Helm Gordon was born December 8, 1966 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Greg grew up in Spavinaw, Oklahoma with his dad Charles, mom Sherry, and his sister Melissa Lena Dalrymple Hertel, attending Spavinaw school up to the 8th grade. He continued his education at Jay High School in Jay, Oklahoma, where he played baseball and basketball. Greg graduated from Jay High School in 1985.

Shortly after high school, Greg joined the United States Air Force on March 13, 1987, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he served five years as a Technical Aircraft Maintenance Specialist. During his time in the Air Force, Greg was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, NCO Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with valor and the Air Force training Ribbon. Greg also served almost two years in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm, and finally retired from the Air Force on August 1, 1992 in San Antonio, Texas.

Greg's later years were spent at Tinker Air Force Base. He went to work at Tinker in December 2011 as a Jet Engine Mechanic, then moved up to Jet Engine Scheduler in June 2015, and then in January 2017, he became an Inventory Management Specialist and in July 2019, he won the 848th Supply Chain Group Wing Warrior Award. He stayed with the profession that he loved until the very end.
