Henry Wolfe

January 20, 1939 — May 25, 2026

Henry Wolfe, age 87, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Henry was born on January 20, 1939, in Stillwell, Oklahoma to Jim Wolfe and Maudie Mae Wolfe. He left home at a young age to pursue his love of music and later found a passion for painting. Henry custom painted classic cars and eventually started painting oil field equipment at CRC Evans up until his retirement.

He lived a long and meaningful life, centered around family, kindness, and music. While building a long and respected career, he never lost sight of playing music. Henry had a deep love for playing stringed instruments, fishing, hunting, and being outside in nature. His talent and passion for music brought joy to many people and created amazing opportunities for him. Henry had a strong passion for playing in a gospel band that performed at many churches and was deeply rooted in his Christian faith. Whether sharing songs with loved ones, or simply sharing stories, music was one of the ways he connected with the people around him.

Above all, he cherished his family. Henry was a great son, brother, father, uncle, and grandfather and will be remembered for his warm heart, goodwill, wisdom, and sense of humor, but most importantly the love that he gave so freely to those closest to him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Adam Wolfe, and Jimmy Dean Wolfe; sisters, Dorothy Brackett and Mary Sue Wolfe; his wife Nancy Wolfe, former spouse Wanda Wolf, and his sons Jeff Wolf, Johnnie Wolfe, and Christopher Wolf.

He is survived by his brothers Bird Wolfe, and Tommy Wolfe; sister Betsy Wing; his grandchildren Buster Wolf, Hope Wolf, Jasper Rush and Mahala Clapp; along with many loving family members and dear friends who will continue to honor his memory.

Henry will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for his kindness, his music, and the love and joy he brought to his family and friends.
