James Warren Payne

James “Jim” Payne born on October 11, 1944 passed away on June 24, 2023 at the age of 78. He is preceded in death by his mother Letha Lou, his father Curtis, his sister Emily and his brother, Paul. Jim is survived by his wife, Sherilyn, his brother, Larry and family, his four children: Jeff, Jamie, Jennifer, Angela and their families.

Jim met his lovely wife, Sherilyn, and spent many great times for 44 years with her. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Jim worked hard for his family no matter the circumstances. He loved working outside no matter the heat or cold. There was a vegetable garden every year that he shared with family and friends. He enjoyed family gatherings in the backyard, camping and would reminisce of past family reunions which would always bring a smile to his face.

His battle with serious medical issues during the past several years showed his strength and courage in facing life challenges. He is now at peace with our Lord!
