Service for Jim Robbins will be 10:00a.m., Friday, December 19, 2025, at House of Prayer Church, burial will follow at Wards Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday, December 18, from 1pm-7pm, with family receiving friends from 5pm-7pm.
Jim was born January 10, 1942, to Orvel & Virginia Robbins. Jim, a lifelong resident of Foyil and a graduate of Foyil Public School passed on Monday December 15, 2025. Jim was born in Claremore and was the third of four children.
Jim was a hard-working man that loved two jobs in life, driving that Bid Red Peterbilt for Larry Oswalt and baling hay. Although Jim owned two Shamrock service stations in Claremore and worked for Peabody Coal Company, his two true loves were driving and bailing hay.
Jim is survived by his wife of 49 years Barbara Robbins who still lives in the log cabin they built on 28A some 32 years ago. Together they raised 4 boys, although all of them graduated from Foyil, 3 have defected to Texas. J.R & wife Jodi, of West Columbia TX, Michael & wife Paige of Fate, TX, Favorite son Larry of Foyil & Terry & wife Kristin of Aledo, TX. Jim is also survived by his youngest sister, Rosetta Sperry of Foyil, along with 8 Grand-children and 10 Great-Grand Children. He was preceded in death by his parents (Orvel & Virginia) and siblings Esther Nickles & Orvel Gene Robbins.
Jim was born into a family of strong faith. He was introduced to and began his relationship with God at a very young age. Jim found his way back to God and renewed his relationship through the teaching and mentoring of pastors Richard & Denton Hubbard at the House of Prayer.
