Eula Jane Parris Stone was born July 30th, 1936 in Nowata County Oklahoma to Meyrel L. and Cecil Oddroff (Herrelson) Parris. She moved with her family to Vinita at the age of 10 and attended school there until she was in the 11th grade, the family moved to CHelsea and she graduated from Chelsea HIgh School with the Class of 1954. September 4th 1954 Jane married Robert J. Stone; the couple made Chelsea their home for a time before moving to Tulsa. Many different communities were called home for the Stone family before moving back to Oklahoma and settling in Claremore.
Family was a priority to Jane and she took great care of them. When her grandchildren came she was the best Nane anyone could ask for. She loved deeply and the friendships she made throughout her life were long term and strong. Jane was a proper but sassy Lady who wanted to be and do her best in every situation. Jane earned her private pilots license and she and Robert enjoyed many years of flying. And had a lot of fun with their flying buddies going to fly-ins or just hoping into the plane to go to Kansas for lunch. Jane’s family also included her many well loved cats throughout her life.
A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and very special friend she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Those family members that survive include her husband Robert J. Stone; her children Mark Stone, Maryellen Farrell and her husband Douglas H. Farrell; her grandchildren Caitlin Reed Farrell and Robert Douglas Farrell; and her sister Ruth Cloud and husband Tony. Jane was preceded in death by her parents and brother Glenn R. Parris.
