Jimmie Joyce Schmoll, age 85, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on January 2, 1939, in Chelsea, Oklahoma, she was the beloved daughter of Roy and Freda "Pug" (Martin) Leathers. Joyce graduated from Chelsea High School in 1957, where she met her future husband, Jerry Schmoll, beginning a journey that would be marked by unwavering devotion to her family.

Throughout her life, Joyce dedicated herself to raising her children, embodying the essence of a nurturing mother. As her children grew older, she briefly worked as a cook at Bell Junior High School in Tulsa, contributing to her community while maintaining her focus on family. She also completed a Secretary Course at Draughons Business Career School in February, 1958. Joyce's personality shone brightly in her enjoyment of being surrounded by loved ones, and her home was a haven of warmth and love.

Known affectionately as "Joyce," she had a passion for crocheting and making clothes for her children—an endeavor that resulted in cherished items for nearly every family member. Her baking skills, particularly her renowned cinnamon rolls, became legendary among friends and family alike. Joyce also loved to travel, creating lasting memories with her husband and family.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Gary Scott and wife Cari, Douglas Schmoll, and Timothy Schmoll; her cherished grandchildren, Kimberly Alexander and husband Justin, and Kali Wilson and husband Levi; as well as her great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Mason, and Zoe Alexander, and Wrenley Wilson. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Hudgens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Schmoll; her brother, Randy Leathers; and her parents, Roy and Freda Leathers.

Joyce's legacy of love, compassion, and creativity will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
