John Henry Harper II passed away on December 12, 2025. He was born on October 26, 1976, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to David Henry Harper and Barbara Jean Harper.
John grew up in Tulsa and attended Daniel Webster High School, graduating with the Class of 1995. During his high school years, he enjoyed wrestling and playing golf. After graduation, he continued his education at Oklahoma State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business.
John spent his professional career in the banking industry, working for several institutions including Gateway Bank, Arvest Bank, and American Heritage Bank. He was dedicated to his work and well respected by colleagues and customers alike.
In his spare time, John enjoyed fishing with his father and daughter, attending horse races, boat races, and sprint car races, and spending time on the golf course. One of his greatest joys was watching his daughter, Kaylie, compete in barrel racing during her younger years. He also loved gathering with family by the pool, grilling burgers, and keeping everyone laughing with his easygoing sense of humor.
John was preceded in death by his father, David Harper; his grandparents, John Harper Sr.. and Irene Harper, and Tom and Arlene Criner.
He is survived by his daughter, Kaylie Harper; his mother, Barbara Harper; his sister, Courtney Vann and husband Sam; his niece, Darcey Vann; his aunt and uncle, Ernie and Diana Jones; Cousins Shawn Jones and family; Biff Jones and Family; Rodney Jones and family; Cousin Ben Harper and family; his former wife, Elisabeth Harper; and his granddaughter, Paris Athena Harper.
John will be remembered for his love of family, his funny personality, and the many memories he shared with those closest to him.
