In 1978, the couple relocated to Claremore, Oklahoma, to be closer to Debbie's family. Joseph began working in manufacturing and would until his retirement.

Joseph had many pastimes, and he was known for his craftsmanship. He enjoyed anything that took great detail, such as ceramics and stained glass.
Above all else, Joseph loved his family and would do anything for them. He was always there to lend a hand to his boys on their projects. He spent lots of hours riding the bus to go on band trips and boy scout trips. Joseph will be known as a loving dad and a devoted husband. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joseph is preceded in death by his mother, Alicia Angolano, his uncle, Domenic Nascenzi, and his brother, Arthur Angolano. He is also survived by his sister, Laura Coughlin, and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jane Wallace, Thom, Michael Bynum, and Diane. Joseph's beloved dog, Milo, shared his companionship.
