Graveside service for Karen Gail Ballard will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2022 at Woodlawn Cemetery. Karen passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. She was 70.
Karen Gail Ballard was born December 5, 1951 in Azle, Texas to Harold and Nina (Upton) Allman. She attended schools in Tulsa and high school at Central. Karen married Leon Ballard on Friday, July 13, 1984 in a Fort Smith, Arkansas ceremony. The couple made their home in several different communities including Tahlequah, California, Catoosa, and Claremore.
A wonderful wife and mother, Karen took care of her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping at the flee markets. Karen also like riding 4 wheelers, working puzzles, and spending time with her family.
Those family members that survive include her children LeAnn Ballard, son-in-law Michael Weaver, Robert Overall, Jennifer Pate, and Bobbie Ivey; her grandchildren Danielle Ballard, Zachary Foster, Chris Weaver, and Caleb Weaver Kassidy Ballard, Kacie Ballard, Alex Porro, Hannah Pate, Hayden Pate, Holden Pate, Jacob Ivey, Amber Ivey, Trey Ivey; sister Sandra Pruette; brother, Jerry Wilson.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leon Ballard, and son Bill Overall.
