Kenneth Wayne Morey

Kenneth Wayne Morey was born June 27, 1945 in Chelsea, OK to William Henry Morey Sr. and Nellie Elizabeth White Morey.

He graduated from Central High School in Tulsa in 1963. After graduation, he joined the US Army proudly serving our country during the Viet Nam conflict as a foot soldier.

After he was discharged from the Army, he worked the remainder of his life as a machinist, retiring from Muncie Power Products in Tulsa.

On April 4, 1981, he married the love of his life Karen McClain Morey and just celebrated 45 years together.

Ken enjoyed going on adventures with his family, tending to his cows and chickens; and in general, tinkering around his farm. He also loved spending time with his grandkids, and he loved desserts, but not necessarily in that order.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, William and Nellie, brother James, father-in-law Harold McClain, brothers-in-law Gail Tidd and Gary McClain, and sister-in-law Leota Morey.

He is survived by his wife Karen and daughter Kara of the home, son Kevin Morey (Katie) of Edmond, OK, and daughter Kristi Buchmann (Michael) of Pryor, OK; mother-in-law Melba McClain of Claremore, OK, brothers Bill Morey (Linda) of Prue, OK and Charles Morey of Tulsa, and sister Flora Tidd of Tulsa.

Grandsons Aiden Morey, Liam Morey, Cyler Buchmann, and Bentley Buchmann.

Granddaughters Audrey Morey, Evelyn Morey, Kendall Buchmann, Sofia Buchmann, and Emmie Buchmann.

Longtime sister/friend Terry and Dusty Traywick of Jasper, Arkansas and longtime friend and army brother, Al Nye of Mannford, OK and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
