Kenneth Fredrick Weber was born July 28, 1927 in Oconee, Nebraska the second of six children to Byron Talbert and Helen M (Boesiger) Weber. He lived and worked on the family farm until he joined the Army in 1945. After training at Ft Leavenworth KS he served as a separation and occupational counselor at Ft Sheridan IL until 1946. Kenny started dating Ida Lois Morrow in high school (Monroe) and they married August 1, 1948. Together they had three sons Kenton Dean Weber, Byron Scott Weber and Kevin Stuart Weber.
After the Army Kenny began a 40 year career working in hydro power plant operation at Loup River Public Power, Columbus NE; Army Corps of Engineers Fort Randall Dam, Pickstown, SD; Bureau of Reclamation, Watertown, SD; Department of Energy Southwest Power Administration, Springfield, MO; and Headquarters Southwest Power Administration, Tulsa, OK. Kenny served as an instructor for the Corps Power Operator and Maintenance Training Program in Pickstown. Kenny retired and lived in Verdigris OK.
He was active in community service as treasurer for the Pickstown Community Church, charter member of the Pickstown Country Club, treasurer of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and member of the ELKs and American Legion organizations. He was a faithful member of churches wherever they lived, most recently St John’s United Church of Christ. He enjoyed hobbies of golf, hunting and fishing. Kenny began a life long tradition of annual deer hunting in the Black Hills of South Dakota with his sons, brothers, nephews, and friends. He also traveled to south Texas every winter to fish with Ida and friends from all over the country.
He was preceded in death by his bride Ida Lois of 74 years, parents, brothers Harold and Cliff, and sister Lucille (Harvey) Welch. He is survived by his sons Kenton (Betty), Scott (Pat), and Kevin (Terri), grandchildren Kelly Tanner (Colby), Kara Blosch (Elliot), Kristy Hayes (Trevor), Kirk Weber (Kaycie), Keri Weber, Brook (Bri) Weber and Brynn (Nik) Murguia, great grandchildren Kannon and Kolt Tanner, Carter and Eli Blosch, Addison and Samantha Hayes, Kambel and Kennedy Jo Weber and a baby boy Weber due late March 2026. He is also survived by sisters Luella (Bernie) Tworek and Enola Luchsinger (Marvin), and sister in law Patti (Cliff) Weber and many nieces and nephews.
