LaRonda Sue Phillips, born on October 4, 1967, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Ronald Ailey and Veronica Sue Utsler, passed away June 8, 2025.
LaRonda dedicated much of her career to Human Resources, working for a variety of organizations including Southwest Airlines, Bama Pie, Cherokee Nation, Goodwill, Cracker Barrel, and Marsh Advantage. She was a proud graduate of the University of Oklahoma.
Known for her love of the color pink and her passion for shoe shopping, LaRonda also practiced and competed in Judo during her early adulthood. She was a devoted member of Life Church in Owasso, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Railey Sue Phillips of Jenks, Oklahoma; her brother, Leland Shane Ailey of Blackwell, Oklahoma; step-dad, Johnnie Utsler of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and her cherished grandmother, “Granny” Leona Serratos of Emmett, Idaho. She is also survived by her loving aunts: Brenda Sorrell (and husband Clyde) of Boise, Idaho; Rosetta Pintens of Sinton, Texas; and Eunice McGavock of Blackwell, Oklahoma, along with numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
LaRonda was preceded in death by her mother, Veronica Sue Utsler (Vicki), her father, Ronald Ailey, and her infant brother, Brandon Ailey.
Her kindness, strength, and joyful spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
