Linda Mae Huston

Linda Mae Huston was born May 18, 1940 to Vera and Elgin Goins. Linda made her way to Heaven January 26, 2026.

Linda had a love for God, her family, and the simple things in life. She married the love of her life, Howard, on June 13, 1959 and together they built their lives and their home together. Linda was a homemaker and lovingly cared for numerous children within their home, some she remained in contact with to this day. In her free time, she could be found cooking in her kitchen, garage sale-ing, gardening, or unapologetically beating anyone at Yahtzee. She also enjoyed time with her family; she is referred to as “Grannie” by her grandkids and great grandkids which was arguably her favorite title in the world.

Linda is survived by her siblings; Frank Goins, Jerry & Phyllis Goins, Maryella & Pat Sharp, Judy Weaver & Mike Cass. Son & daughter in law; Bill & Gara Huston. Daughter; Shelly Everett. Grandchildren; Whitney & Ditto Shanholtzer, Hannah & Cody Dill, Jake & Cassidy Everett, and Macy Everett. As well as her great grandchildren; Seth & Ava Shanholtzer, Hoyt, Jaycee, Cami & Hunter Dill, and Boone Everett.

Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Howard Huston. Parents; Vera & Elgin Goins. In-laws; Orville and Grace Huston. Sister in laws; Wanda Goins, Peggy McCreary, Margaret Huston, and Helen Brashers. Grandson; Jonathan Everett.

Grannie’s family would like to thank the staff at Meadowbrook Nursing Home and Traditions Hospice for their incredible love and care over the last few months. There are not enough words to encapsulate the impact that each of you have had on our family.
