Memorial service for Marvin Akers will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Sanctuary in Chelsea. Pastor Gary Wilson will officiate.
The son of Henry James and Eva Reed Akers was born July 9, 1941 in Newton, Kansas. He passed away November 30, 2013 at the age of 72.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters and his wife Shirley Akers.
Survivors include his children Mike, Larry, Lisa, Lori, Julie, Traci, Candi and Marla and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
