Mary Gail Moore peacefully passed into the presence of God on May 15, 2023, at the age of 72. She was born December 29, 1950, to James Ed and Pansy Muriel (Medlock) Moore, the ninth of twelve children. She grew up on a farm in a little two-story house just south of Inola, raised by her daddy and older siblings after the loss of her mother at a young age. Mary Gail graduated from Inola High School with the class of 1969. After a brief time in the Marine Corp., she worked at Kentube Manufacturing in Tulsa until deciding to go into nursing. She received her LPN degree and went to work for the Inola Health Care Center, where she cared for residents for over 30 years. She was admired for her strong work ethic and generous and tender heart.
Mary Gail loved her two daughters and grandchildren and had a special bond with many of her nieces and nephews. When they were younger, she spent lots of time with them, taking them to fun places. She was a big OU Sooners fan and enjoyed watching all kinds of sports on tv. In her last years, she was especially fond of her pets, cats Oscar and Mimi, and chihuahua, Rosie.
She is survived by her daughters, Angela Moore of Broken Arrow, and Rachel Bookout and husband Eric, of Lewisville, Texas; four grandchildren: Johanna Stark, Corey Stark, Evan Bookout, and Dax Bookout; siblings: John Ed Moore, Charlotte Hendrickson, Sharon Chambers and husband Ray, Jackie Moore and wife Terry, Danny Ray Moore, Diana Dorris and husband Casey, and Michael Moore and Donna, sister-in-law Sally Moore, and many nieces and nephews.
