Mary Lee Necessary was born on December 3, 1928, in Ft. Worth, Texas, to James D. Martin and Rosa Lee (Thomas) Martin. She peacefully passed away on June 23, 2024, in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many.

Mary dedicated much of her life to a successful career in banking, showcasing her strong work ethic and commitment. Additionally, she delved into the culinary world as the proud owner and operator of Necessary's Hickory Pit BBQ for many years, where she delighted patrons with her delectable creations.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Mary had a passion for the simple joys in life. She found solace in fishing and even made her own bait. Her favorite pastime was catching carp to prepare for her beloved cats. Mary's love for animals extended beyond her pets as she took great pleasure in caring for her koi pond.

In the hearts of those who knew her best, Mary will forever be remembered for her kind spirit, unwavering determination, and genuine love for all creatures great and small.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her children, Sherry Brown and husband Tommy Joe, Eddie Simpson and wife Teresa, and Gary L. Simpson. Grandsons, Adren Cottom and wife Samantha, Tony Cottom and wife Melissa, Chris Simpson and wife Heather, granddaughters, Breanna Stanek and husband Keith, Lori Kirby, Nicole Wilkins and husband Byron. Lots of great grandchildren and a host of friends and family.
