Funeral services for MaryAnn Williams will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Trinity Baptist Church in Inola, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sweeten Cemetery.
MaryAnn passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 74. She was born on November 8th, 1950, in Altus, Arkansas, to Cecil and Mary (Gaines) McFadden. Around the age of 8, MaryAnn and her family moved to Kirtland, New Mexico, where she attended school and graduated in 1968.
After graduation, MaryAnn pursued training in key punch technology in Kansas City. During her time there, she reconnected with a family friend, John Williams, who was stationed nearby with the U.S. Army. Their friendship blossomed into a romance, and they married on May 16, 1969. The couple eventually settled in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where they raised their family.
MaryAnn devoted much of her early life to caring for her children, putting their needs first. Once her children grew older, she resumed her career, working for Ridley Sound, which later became York Electronics. She retired as an office manager after 39 years of dedicated service. Even after retiring, MaryAnn continued to work part-time in Owasso until health concerns prompted her final retirement in September 2024.
In her free time, MaryAnn loved scrapbooking and traveling, especially to the mountains, which were her favorite destination. However, her greatest joy came from her family. MaryAnn’s life revolved around her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
MaryAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Mary McFadden; her siblings, Noel McFadden, Daryl McFadden, and Velta Long.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, John Williams; daughter, Lisa Bennett; son, John Williams and wife Windy; grandchildren, Alyssa Duley, Wyatt Williams, Tyler Sharp, and Brian Sharp; great-grandchildren, Chevi, Brileigh, Bentley, Emercyn, Oliva, Sullivan, and soon-to-arrive Dawson; sisters, Reba Thompson and husband Ken, and Patricia Newman; and numerous extended family members.
MaryAnn’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be remembered for her loving nature, dedication to her family, and the joy she brought to those around her.
