Michael Bragg Andrews

Oct 23, 1962 — Oct 17, 2026

Michael Bragg Andrews passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by his wife, Darcie, and his oldest son, Percy, who remained by his side during his final moments.

Born on October 23, 1962, in Broomfield, Colorado, Michael was the third and youngest child of Mary “JoAnne” Andrews and Donald “Andy” Andrews. He was the baby of the family, a role he proudly carried throughout his life.

A proud United States Army veteran, Michael served his country and was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii. He later spent many years working as a truck driver. Strong-willed, determined, and famously stubborn, Michael knew what he believed and was not easily persuaded otherwise. He was also deeply devoted to his children and the people he loved. Michael shared a close bond with his brother, Steve, not just a brother but his best friend, and sister-in-law, Tanya, and treasured his longtime friendship with Gary Bearly.

Michael had a sharp sense of humor and a decades long love of the Renaissance Festival. He spent many years as a cast member at the Castle of Muskogee, where he met Darcie and found friendship, laughter, and a community he cherished. He especially enjoyed dancing at the Castle and making memories with fellow cast and friends.

Michael is survived by his wife, Darcie; his children, Percy, Zion, Zeppelin, Mary, and Misty; his granddaughters, Lillian and Michaela; his grandson, Cadin; two great-granddaughters; his beloved brother, Steve, and sister-in-law, Tanya; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary “JoAnne” Andrews; his father, Donald “Andy” Andrews; two angel babies; and his sister, Donna.

Michael will be remembered for his stubborn determination, quick wit, love of family, adoration of his children, and terrible dad jokes. He lived life on his own terms and left behind memories that will always remain with those who knew and loved him.

He was never one to quietly blend into the background. Michael had opinions, theories, stories, and usually a joke ready to follow them. He could make people laugh, make them question everything they thought they knew, and make sure that no gathering was ever entirely ordinary. His humor, his stubborn spirit, and his fierce love for his family will continue in the stories told about him.

Michael may have left this life, but he did not leave quietly. He left behind laughter, questions, memories, and the unmistakable impression of a man who was entirely himself. And for those who loved him, that will always be his greatest legacy.

May he find peace, and may those who loved him find comfort in the memories they carry.
