Mildred Elaine Lewellen

Mildred Elaine Lewellen passed away on April 20, 2026, at the age of 84.

Elaine was born on October 2, 1941, to Floyd and Mildred Gaddy in Okmulgee, Ok. She grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she attended Will Rogers High School and graduated with the class of 1959. During her school years, she enjoyed being in the band, playing percussion instruments.

She met Jodel Lewellen, and the two were married on September 23, 1961. The couple lived in El Paso, Texas, for a short time while Jodel completed his service in the Army before settling in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where they made their home.

Elaine worked as a manager for Name Brand Clothing for 34 years until her retirement. Elaine and Jodel moved to Claremore in 1996 where they became active members of First Baptist Church of Claremore.

In her spare time, Elaine was very creative and artistic. She loved scrapbooking, sewing, cross-stitching, and crocheting. Above all else, she cherished being a mother, raising her children, and supporting them in all their sports activities.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mildred Gaddy, and her husband, Jodel Lewellen.

Elaine is survived by her sons, Tim Lewellen and wife Sharon, Jerry Lewellen and wife Lyslie, and Reid Lewellen; her brothers, Joe Gaddy and wife Cindy, and Rusty Gaddy and wife Charlie; along with 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
