Patricia Anne (Phillips) Doyle was born on November 17, 1932, in Gary, Indiana, to Doris "Dolly" Natalie Matthews, age 24, and Walter Hubert Phillips, age 28. She was the fourth of six siblings. They lived in Gary, Indiana until Pat was 13, (1945), when her siblings and mother took the train to join her dad in Fort Worth, he had a house ready for them to move into.
Pat attended Our Lady of Victory Academy in Fort Worth. Later she began studying at St. Joseph School of Nursing, also in Ft. Worth. While there in early 1952, she met the love of her life, Air Force serviceman, Cecil F. "Moose" Doyle on a blind date. They were married on May 22, 1952. Cecil was honorably discharged on July 3, 1952, and the couple moved to northeast Oklahoma where American Airlines was advertising for airline mechanics positions available for experienced veterans.
They had seven children by the time Pat was 28 years old, and they moved several times around northeast Oklahoma. Then, in early 1966, they made their final move and invested in a house and 100 acres south of Claremore. This would give the family plenty of room as the children grew into teenagers and attended Verdigris Schools. With this last moved from Collinsville, they changed from St. Teresa Catholic Church to Christ the King Church in Claremore and later St. Cecilia Catholic Church following its construction.
After her youngest child was out of high school and Pat was in her late forties, she returned to school to pursue her interest in nursing, earning an associate degree as an operating room technician. She then spent twelve years working in that field for a Tulsa orthopedic physician. Pat also was employed a few years as secretary at St. Cecilia Church.
Cecil and Pat remained in the home south of Claremore for the rest of their years together. Cecil passed away in 1996, Pat continued living in the old home until she reached ninety years old and was convinced it was time to stop driving and trying to upkeep an old hose and vehicle.
Pat was a member of St. Cecilia Women's Club, DCCW of Tulsa, St. Cecilia Pastoral Care Ministry, Claremore Hospital Auxiliary, and the Associates of Operating Room Technicians.
Those family members that survive include her daughters, Sharon Doyle Forrest and Cecilia Doyle Yetter and husband Dennis, her three sons, Michael Doyle and wife Clarice, Thomas Doyle and wife Debi, and Walter Doyle and wofe Neva, her daughter-in-law, Marie Lamb Doyle, her youngest sister, Barbara Miriam Phillips Pledger and husband Pat, 20 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews.
