Paul Driesel was born October 28th, 1952 and died peacefully at home on March 3rd, 2020, at the age of 67.
Paul grew up in Tulsa and attended Rogers High School. Paul Shared many happy memories of weekends and vacations with the aunts, uncles, and cousins fishing and swimming in Barren Fork Creek and of the extended family gatherings at his grandmothers’ home in Stillwell.
Paul served almost two decades in the army as a communications specialist with primary assignments in Korea and Germany. His parents, Paul and Maxine Driesel delighted in his acting as their travel escort when they visited him in Germany and together, they explored sites in Germany and Denmark. Once Honorably discharged, Paul pursued a career in the communications fields.
Claremore was home to Paul. He had a remarkable memory of friends he played sports with growing up and frequently recounted “exploits of his youth”. Paul loved talking about college football, Cardinals baseball and relished documentaries about conspiracies and aliens. An animal lover, his cats provided constant companionship.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Maxine Driesel of Claremore. Those family members that survive include his brother Bill (Susan) Driesel of Tulsa, brother Joe Driesel of Navarre, Florida, nephew Christopher (Karrie) Driesel and their children Crew and Cecila , niece Miranda (Matt) Driesel Moore and their sons, Hundson and Ellis , along with countless cousins.
