Richard Clay “Dick” Koger passed away Saturday, October 17, 2026. Dick was born July 17,1933 in Tiawah, Oklahoma to Olen Lewis and Helen Bogue Hess Koger. Richard attended school in Tiawah with his high school years in Inola. He enlisted in the US Army in 1953 and served his country by being one of the few who built the early warning radar station, Sparrevohn Air Force Station in remote Alaska. Richard married Wanda Nadine King, October 14th, 1955. They celebrated 71 years of marriage, days before his passing.
Following his honorable discharge, Richard began his working career in production and quality control engineering positions in the oil and gas industry before establishing his own company, RK Manufacturing.
Dick loved to fish and hunt as much as time allowed. He loved a project and he had many of them. Tidy and particular, there did not seem to be anything he could not do and to perfection.
Family members that survive include his wife, Wanda, his daughter, Sandi Anderson, and husband John, Grandchildren Bryn Anderson and Kayl Anderson, his great grandchildren, Cardyn Smith, Coleson Smith, Winston Smith, Cooper Anderson and Margaret Sontag, his sisters Linda Eastman and Barbara Henry and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Olen and Helen Koger, his brothers Kenneth Koger, David Koger and his infant sister Judith Koger.
