Scott Edgar Tubbs

May 13, 1971 — October 20, 2025

Claremore, Ok

Scott Edgar Tubbs was called home to be with the Lord suddenly on October 20, 2025 at the age of 54 in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Early Life and Legacy

Scott was born on May 13, 1971 in West Hollywood, California. He had an itinerant childhood, spending time in Missouri, Idaho, and Iowa before his family finally settled in Oklahoma. He graduated from Claremore High School in 1990, and shortly thereafter, enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving his country with distinction for nearly 18 years, including five deployments, as a Loadmaster (Port Dog), achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant before his honorable discharge. Following his service, Scott obtained and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management in 2018. He met his future first wife, April Stanford, in 1988, and they married in the fall of 1991. Though they divorced in 2009, they remained dear friends until her passing in 2016. Scott later met his beloved wife, Niki, whom he met through his children, Emily and Holly, and they were married on May 21st, 2011.

Scott's entire life was guided by the Air Force's three core values: Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence In All We Do. He dedicated his life to the principles he held most dear: setting a high standard for his children, demonstrating an unwavering work ethic, loving Jesus, and enjoying life to the fullest.

Life and Passions

Scott will be remembered as a man who loved his family more than life itself. He took immense pride in his children's accomplishments and demonstrated an unwavering dedication that extended far beyond his immediate family, encompassing his many cherished nieces and nephews, and his children's friends, whom he sincerely considered his own. He was always a phone call away, and deeply appreciated the support and love his children's friends showed them. Known for his devotion to his deep Christian faith, he constantly sought to uplift everyone he knew, always praying for their salvation. Scott also loved his sweet companion, his dog Hank, who was always faithfully by his side. While he dedicated himself to hard work, he made sure to enjoy life, finding that his favorite places were either in the company of his beloved grandchildren or the peaceful tranquility of Henrys Lake, Idaho. He also found pleasure in fishing and cheering passionately for his favorite sports teams: the OSU Cowboys, the Washington Commanders, and his Los Angeles Dodgers.

Surviving Family

Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Niki; his devoted children, Emily Tubbs, Holly Mangrum, Scott E. Tubbs II (Brandi), Jenifer Tubbs (Derick), Kimberly Mangrum, and Tyler Mangrum, and his former son-in-law, Alex Hollingsworth; his grandchildren, Constance and Chandler Hollingsworth, Chasidie Little, Calie Stubblefield, April Tubbs, Saige St. John, Khaleesi McKenzie, Kadence and Grace Huen, and a little baby boy on the way; and his siblings, Mike and Melissa Tubbs, Megan and Nick Neal, Christy Nunley, Irvina Lawrence, Vickie and Lee Baysden, Lynn Wheeler, Kristine Stanford, Diane Reyes, Terri Miller, Toni Bucsok, and L.J. and Amber Wheeler.
