She was born on February 27, 1951, to Howard and Nella (Kirk) Alexander. She was born and raised in Claremore, where she attended Claremore High School and graduated as a proud member of the class of 1969.Throughout her life, she worked primarily as a homemaker caring for her children. However, she also held various jobs including positions at the Claremore Veterans Center and Warehouse Market. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and she made sure that everyone around her was taken care of, even if it meant sacrificing her own needs.

Sherry's passion for cooking brought joy to the lives of those around her. She loved to create delicious meals for her loved ones and was celebrated for her homemade pickles, beef jerky, and mouthwatering pies. Her culinary talents were an expression of her love and nurturing nature. Sherry's kitchen was always filled with warmth and the aroma of something delicious.

In addition to cooking, Sherry had a range of hobbies and interests that brought her delight. She enjoyed visiting the casino where she would try her luck while basking in the excitement of the environment. She also found happiness in activities such as bowling and playing bingo. An ardent fan of "Survivor," she eagerly followed every episode,

One of Sherry's proudest accomplishments was turning her house into what she referred to as her "little granny house." With great determination and care, she fixed up every corner to make it a warm and inviting home for herself and her loved ones. At her little granny house, Sherry cultivated a beautiful garden where she grew vegetables that she lovingly shared with others. The joy she found in nurturing her garden and providing fresh produce to those around her was immeasurable.

Family meant the world to Sherry, and she held a special place in her heart for her brothers, Jerry and Mike Alexander who preceded her in death.
