Suzan D’Ann Thompson, age 71, passed away on April 17, 2026.
She was born on December 12, 1954, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Ellis “Bud” and Wilma (Cook) Lowery. Suzan was raised in Tulsa, where she attended Webster High School and graduated with the Class of 1973.
Shortly after High-school she married Danny Thompson on November 8, 1975 and they just celebrated 50 years of marriage together. She had 2 kids Nikki and Dusty whom were raised and still live close by in Inola.
Suzi had a creative and caring spirit that showed in everything she did. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, scrapbooking, and planting flowers. Some of her most cherished moments were spent on road trips with her children and grandchildren, making memories along the way. Above all, she treasured time spent with her daughter, Nikki, and loved doing anything that brought them together. Her son, Dusty, never ceased to make her laugh which put great joy in everyday of her life.
A faithful member of First Baptist Church in Inola for 44 years, Suzi devoted much of her life to serving others. She worked in the church preschool, helping care for and influence three generations of children, leaving a lasting impact on countless families in the community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Wilma Lowery; her brother, Ronnie Lowery; and her nephew, Bryan Lowery.
Suzan is survived by her loving husband, Danny Thompson; her children, Nikole Weidman and husband Lester, and Dusty Thompson; her brother, Donnie Lowery and wife Billie Sue; her sister, Robin Lowery; her grandchildren, Houston Weidman and wife Cassie, Gabriel Weidman and wife Amanda, Danni Robinson and husband Rory, and Josiah Weidman; and her great-grandchildren, Samuel, P.J., Elis, Terra, Rebeka, Westin, and Waylon.
Suzi will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to her family, and the love she poured into every life she touched.
