Thomas Elwood Jackson Jr., 81, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026.
Thomas was born in Dunn, North Carolina, to Thomas Elwood Jackson Sr. and Marion Evelyn Jackson. He was raised attending Cumberland Public Schools in Virginia, where he developed the strong work ethic and steadfast character that would define his life.
On December 31, 1963, Thomas married the love of his life, Linda Jackson. Together they created a life filled with dedication, laughter, and enduring memories.
Thomas proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he and his family relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma. During this time, he began a lifelong career in the auto parts and auto repair industry. Through determination and hard work, Thomas eventually owned two successful businesses and earned the respect of many through his diligence, integrity, and commitment to excellence.
Thomas had many passions throughout his life. He loved watching sports, listening to a wide variety of music, working on cars, and fixing anything that needed repair. In his younger years, he played semi-professional football in Florida. A naturally gifted and determined man, Thomas also taught himself to play the guitar, drums, and piano. In later years, he especially enjoyed camping and boating with family and friends.
Above all else, Thomas was a man of unwavering faith in the Lord and a dedicated servant to his church family. He was a steady presence for those around him, and an example of perseverance and devotion. He will be remembered for his strength, wisdom, kindness, and the deep love he had for his family.
Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Jackson; his parents, Thomas Jackson Sr. and Marion Evelyn Jackson; and his sister, Betty Bowlin.
He is survived by his daughters, Monica Sanders and husband Lee, Tracy Powers and husband Shawn, and Amber Yant and husband Tim; his sister, Elizabeth “Lib” Walker; his grandchildren, Casie, Bailey, Tyler, Aubrey, Adler, Kaizen, Straider, Thaddeus, Raegan, and Landre; and his great-grandchildren, Kade, Darren, Brian, Jason, and Brighton.
