Paul Roberts

Funeral services for Paul Roberts will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11:00am at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 1:00pm-8:00pm, with family greeting friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm. 

Paul Roberts, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Oologah, OK, Paul spent his childhood there before briefly moving to California for work. Eventually, he returned to Oologah, where he met and married Kathy Nelson, and together they made their home in Claremore.

A hardworking man, Paul held various jobs throughout his life, including positions at Neece Steel, Word Industry, and later with Ira Greene construction. Paul was always a hard working man. 

Paul took great pride in his Cherokee heritage, especially going to pow-wows. Paul loved people, never meeting a stranger. In his free time, he enjoyed watching westerns and going to thrift stores, but nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his grandchildren.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Manuel; sisters, Jesse Delgeorgio, Pat Snell and husband Swimmer, Billie Lynch and husband Marvin, Mary Berry and husband Herb, and Dorothy Stokes; brothers, Roy Roberts and wife Joyce, John Roberts and wife Shirley, Curtis Roberts, and Dale Roberts; son-inlaw, Brad Pailette.

Paul is survived by his daughters, Tama Dudley and husband Raymond, Dayna Pailette, and Paula Moore and husband Brad; daughter-inlaw Vickie Manuel; grandchildren, Kevin Dudley and wife Jesse, Randy Dudley and wife Michele, Tyler Dudley and wife Samantha, Skye Goodman and husband Jacob, Sierra Dudley and boyfriend Mason Singleton, Zak Dudley and girlfriend Marissa Wilson, Peyton Moore, Cambry Moore, and Emma Moore and boyfriend Ethan Rowe; great-grandchildren, Catti-Bree Dudley, Phoenix Dudley, Blade Dudley, Hunter Dudley, and Ollyver Singleton; brother Warren Roberts and wife Linda;  sisters-inlaw, Judy Roberts and Alice Roberts.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Claremore Nursing Home for their care of Paul.
