Vincent Evans Hendricks

Visitation for Vincent Hendricks will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at MMS-Payne Funeral Home from 2 PM to 7 PM, with family present to greet friends. Vincent passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the age of 81.

Born on March 30, 1945, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Eli and Peachie (Smith) Hendricks, Vincent attended schools in Claremore and graduated with the class of 1964. During high school, he excelled as a star football player and was the senior class reporter. Following graduation, Vincent enlisted in the US Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.

His career as an electrician spanned many years, and he was a member of the Union International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for over 37 years.

Vincent enjoyed hunting deer in his younger years, but his favorite pastime was fishing. He also loved coaching peewee baseball, in Claremore. Vincent cherished time with family and friends and was a natural comedian, often the life of the party. He also loved to dance and won several competitions and one with Wegie.

Surviving family members include his siblings, Elizabeth Padgett, Marcus Hendricks and his wife Connie, and Nancy Dobbs and her husband Ronnie; his girlfriend, Wegie Sumter; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Peachie Hendricks; his son, Jeff Hendricks; and his siblings John Hendricks, Charles Hendricks, Eli Hendricks, Jr., Wanna Lou Barton, Emma Jean Wilson, and Charlene Sue Hendricks.
