Virgil Wesley Shatto

Virgil Wesley Shatto, long time resident of Claremore, Oklahoma then of Tulsa, Oklahoma has passed away on September 13, 2020. Virgil was born November 15, 1921 to Jacob and Mary Shatto. He was the oldest of 10 children. Virgil married Erlene Setters on May 25, 1942 and enjoyed 74 years of marriage. They had four children.

Virgil retired from Tulsa County where he worked at LaFortune Golf Course. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman as long as he was able. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved his family.

Virgil is preceded in death by both parents, wife Erlene, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 grandchildren. He is survived by 3 sisters, 1 brother and his four children; Virginia Walter of Tulsa, Linda Holland of Claremore, Rick Shatto and wife Sally of Jenks and Vivian Rogers and husband John of Claremore. Virgil has 3 surviving grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
