Graveside services for Wanda Aileen Girten will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 27, 2025, at Chelsea Cemetery.
Born in Wagoner, Oklahoma, to Marvin and Alfie (Monroe) Waldrup, Wanda spent her elementary years in Inola before moving to the Winganon area near Chelsea. She graduated from Chelsea High School in 1972, where she enjoyed playing basketball and serving on student council. It was there she met Tom Girten, whom she married on July 6, 1973.
Wanda's focus was always on family. She took great joy in raising her children and being involved in their school and sporting activities. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and traveling to Nevada. Wanda's absolute pride and joy were her grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and watching them play sports.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom Girten, and brother, Richard Waldrup.
Survivors include her children, Brandi Payne and husband Ryan, and Jerad Girten and wife Jamie; grandchildren, Annie, Alivia, and Allie Payne, and Grey and Gage Girten; brother, Curtis Waldrup; and numerous extended family members.
