Wanda Louise Smith was born on January 12, 1943, to Earl and Lilly (Cook) Bledsaw in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She attended school in Tahlequah through the 10th grade before her family moved to Claremore, where she graduated with the Claremore High School Class of 1961. Wanda was the only one of her siblings to graduate high school.
In 1965, Wanda married Bill Smith, and with that she gained a son, Logan. Together they later added two more sons, Billy and Merle.
Wanda loved the Lord, and her faith was the cornerstone of her life. She attended church faithfully throughout her years and shared her faith with others until her final days. Wanda would often tell her family and friends, "Jesus is coming, you'd better be ready."
She enjoyed many hobbies; fishing, camping, gardening, and bird-watching. She also enjoyed a good bowl of beans, a slice watermelon, and sitting on her porch. Above all, Wanda treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved taking trips with Kolter to visit her siblings.
A big part of Wanda's faith was loving people. She welcomed anyone into her home and was a "mom" to many.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; siblings, Opal Bledsaw, Dovie Sanders, Earl Bledsaw, Walter Bledsaw, Dorothy Lee, Lorene Griggs, E.G. Bledsaw, Virgil Bledsaw, Leonard Bledsaw, and Lois Kimbrell; and daughter-in-law, Teresa Smith.
She is survived by her sons, Logan Smith and wife Rea, Billy Smith, and Merle Smith and wife Anna; grandchildren, Jessica, Klint and wife Shelby, Logan, Kolter, Luke, Lakota and wife Britney, Jolene, Kelsei, Koy, and Jordann and husband Kenneth; great-grandchildren, Heidi, Owen, Gavin, Ella, Kylah, Kara, and one on the way.
