Winnie Marie Rawson

Winnie Marie (McPherson) Rawson passed away on July 3, 2026 She was 82 years old. Winnie was born on July 14, 1943 in Pottsville Texas. Her parents were Forrest and Frances McPherson. She married Fred Rawson on July 26, 1967. They were wed in Las Vegas Nevada . They settled in Claremore, Oklahoma where she taught school and coached basketball. She taught elementary school for over 40 years. She and Fred added four children to their family. Deanna, Brian who passed 6 months after his birth, Denise, and Darrin. They were wed for 44 years.

After Fred’s passing in 2011, Winnie was very involved in her church’s sewing ministry where she made sheets for NICU units, pillows and hats for cancer patients, and crayon bags for children in the hospital. This brought her purpose and a lot of joy.

Preceding her in death was her infant son, Brian Wallace Rawson, her husband, Fred, a granddaughter Sarah McDrummond, her parents, and her brother, David McPherson.

Survivors included Deanna Smith and husband Tim of Claremore, Denise McDrummond and husband Matt of Seymour Missouri, Darrin and his wife Rebekah of North Kansas City Missouri.

Her six grandchildren Tyler McDrummond, Kayla Bertram, Zack Smith, Emma Bray, Alexander Rawson, and Abby Smith. Great grandchildren Melanie and Landon McDrummond and Liam , Patrick and Annie Bertram.
